Uganda Family Safari 2026
Rhino Tracking, Horse Riding
& Wildlife for All Ages

Uganda's most exciting family safari — designed for all ages, from curious children to adventurous grandparents. Track white rhinos on foot, ride alongside zebras on horseback, and experience Uganda's greatest national parks as a family.

🦒 Children all ages welcome · Gorilla trekking available for ages 15+ · Horse riding for ages 8+

"The best family holiday isn't the one with the biggest pool — it's the one where your children's eyes go wide. When your 10-year-old whispers 'it's looking at us' as a white rhino walks past three metres away. When your teenager is still talking about the Nile boat cruise three months after you get home. Uganda delivers these moments naturally, and Roam Beyond makes them accessible, safe, and unforgettable for every member of your family."

What is the minimum age for gorilla trekking in Uganda?
The Uganda Wildlife Authority requires all gorilla trekkers to be at least 15 years old. Children under 15 cannot trek gorillas but can participate in all other activities on this safari — game drives, rhino tracking, horse riding, chimp sanctuary visits, Nile cruises, and cultural experiences. Gorilla trekking can be added for eligible family members as an optional upgrade.
How do you ensure the safari is suitable for children of different ages?
We design family itineraries with mixed-age groups in mind. Activities like game drives, boat cruises, and nature walks are naturally child-friendly. For younger children, we can arrange junior ranger certificates, animal identification booklets, and simplified wildlife guides. We also coordinate lodge family rooms or adjacent cottages so your family stays comfortably together throughout.

Give Your Family an Adventure They'll Never Forget

A rhino three metres away. A horse walking beside a zebra. The Nile thundering below you. These are memories your children will carry for life — and Roam Beyond makes them happen safely, professionally, and affordably.
