When is the best time to go gorilla and chimp trekking?

Yes — every package listed above includes all relevant trekking permits. The Uganda gorilla permit costs $800 per person and the chimpanzee permit $250 per person. These are fully included in your quoted total. We handle all permit bookings and reservations on your behalf — you don't need to arrange anything separately.
What does the total price cover?
Each price shown is a fully inclusive per-person cost based on 2 travellers sharing a vehicle and accommodation. It covers: private 4×4 vehicle, driver-guide fees, all fuel for the entire route, accommodation for all nights, all listed activity and trekking permits, park entry fees, and all transfers. What it doesn't cover: international flights, Uganda visa, travel insurance, personal drinks, and gratuities.
When is the best time to go gorilla and chimp trekking?
Uganda can be visited year-round — gorilla encounters are virtually guaranteed regardless of season (99%+ encounter rate). The dry seasons (June–September and December–February) give the most comfortable trekking conditions. The green season (March–May and October–November) offers fewer crowds, lusher forest scenery, and can provide better photography opportunities.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — we offer flexible payment plans over 3, 6, or 12 months with no interest or hidden fees. Your permits and accommodation are secured once your full balance is paid. Gorilla trekking can range from a 1-hour walk to a full-day hike depending on where the gorilla family is located that day. A moderate level of fitness is recommended. Porters are available to help carry bags and provide support. Age minimum is 15 years. Our driver-guides will brief you fully on what to expect before your trek begins.
