Day 3
CHIMP TRACKING — Kibale Forest + Bigodi Wetland Walk
7:30am chimp trek at Kanyanchu. Spend 1 full hour with wild chimpanzees — feeding, grooming, calling above you in the canopy. Kibale's 1,500 chimps are the most accessible in the world. Afternoon: Bigodi Wetland walk — community-guided, 200+ birds, additional primates.
Day 4
Kibale → Bwindi Impenetrable NP via Lake Bunyonyi (220km)
Drive south through the Rwenzori foothills and Kasese plains to Lake Bunyonyi — one of Africa's most beautiful lakes. Afternoon canoe on the lake, sunset from your veranda. Continue to Bwindi (50km). Trek briefing with your guide.
Day 5
THE GORILLA TREK — Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
7:30am departure. Armed rangers, expert trackers, your guide. Trek through Bwindi's ancient montane forest. Find your gorilla family. Spend 60 extraordinary minutes with mountain gorillas at close range. Gorilla permit ($800pp) included. Afternoon: Batwa cultural walk.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why combine adventure and primates in one trip?
Uganda is uniquely positioned to offer both. No other country in the world has Grade 5 rafting on the Nile, chimpanzee tracking in a world-class forest, and mountain gorilla trekking within a 7-day circuit. The contrast between the adrenaline of Jinja's Nile and the profound silence of standing with gorillas in Bwindi is one of the most complete emotional journeys available in East African travel.
Are both permits ($1,050 value) genuinely included?
Yes — the gorilla trekking permit ($800 pp) and the Kibale chimpanzee tracking permit ($250 pp) are both included in the A-06 package price of $4,000 per person. The permit value alone is $1,050 — all secured and managed by Roam Beyond.
Is 7 days enough to avoid rushing?
Yes — the itinerary is designed so that no day feels hurried. Days 2 and 7 are primarily driving (with excellent scenery), and Days 3–6 are properly paced activity days. The Lake Bunyonyi rest day (Day 6) provides excellent recovery between the primate encounters and the long return drive.
"Uganda's adventure scene is extraordinary — and most visitors never discover half of it. From Grade 5 Nile rapids to equatorial mountain summits, from canyon swims to gorilla treks, this country rewards the curious traveller. Start your Roam Beyond payment plan today."
